RimWorld Odyssey is an exciting expansion pack for the popular sci fi colony simulation game RimWorld Beyond introducing the mobile gravship base new biomes weapons and formidable enemies Odyssey also integrates a brand new fishing mechanic This allows your colonists to harvest aquatic life from the diverse planets you explore providing a valuable food source especially in areas where traditional farming is difficult Here s how to get your colony fishing in RimWorld Odyssey Rimworld Odyssey How To FishWhile fishing is a fantastic addition with the Odyssey expansion it s not immediately available You ll need to unlock it through research first Unlock Fishing Research After purchasing and installing the Odyssey expansion your first step is to research Fishing To do this you ll need a Research Bench either a Simple Research Bench or a Hi Tech Research Bench depending on your colony s tech level Navigate to the Research tab usually found at the bottom of your screen in the UI Locate the Fishing research project It typically costs 600 research points and has no prerequisites meaning you can start researching it as soon as you have a research bench and a colonist assigned to research Tribal starts may even begin with this research already completed Land on a Planet with Water Once fishing is researched you need to be on a map tile that contains a body of water suitable for fishing Use your new gravship to travel to different planets or biomes Look for tiles with rivers lakes oceans or other aquatic features Larger bodies of water generally yield better fishing results You can even settle on new biome types introduced in Odyssey such as islands archipelagos atolls peninsulas and fjords which are ideal for fishing focused colonies Designate a Fishing Zone After landing on a suitable map open the Architect menu typically the fourth icon from the left at the bottom of the screen Go to the Zone section where you designate growing #RimworldOdyssey #xboxplaygames
